Football Pitch Woes

It is with heavy hearts that the Committee has had to close the football pitch in our park. The surrounding fence, which has become increasingly dilapidated over the last few years, was already causing safety concerns. The recent storms, however, have brought down the south-western section and rendered the pitch unsafe to use.

The Committee is collecting quotes for the entire fence to be removed and replaced by a single length closer to the boundary wall, which will hopefully allow ball games to be resumed in the park. Until then it is extremely important to keep children and animals away from the structure as it poses a serious risk. Tape and signs have been put up, and please make your children aware of the situation.
